Nigerian film-maker and Nollywood icon, producer Fuji house of commotion, Amaka Igwe has shockingly passed on at 51. The sad incident occurred yesterday in Enugu where she had gone, in company of her husband, for pre-production preparations for a new Igbo soap.
She suffered an asthma attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital after initial interventions had failed. She passed on before getting to the hospital.
Mrs Igwe is survived by her husband of 21 years Charles Igwe, three children, an aged mother, siblings and a large extended family.

A Permanent Secretary in the Ekiti State Civil Service, Mr. Tunde Alokan, has been sacked by Governor Ayodele Fayose, it was learnt on Monday.
Alokan until his removal was the Permanent Secretary in charge of the Office of Establishment.
A source said Alokan was relieved of his job because of his closeness to a former state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
It was learnt that Fayemi attended the burial of Alokan’s late father held in Efon Alaaye in February which the source said did not go down well with the powers that be in the state.

They are ambassador Toye Olofintuyi from Ekiti State who was sworn in as Commissioner in the Civil Service Commission (FCSC), representing Ekiti, Edo and Ondo States, while Ambassador Abudullahi Shinkafi from Zamfara State was sworn in as Commissioner, Federal Character Commission (FCC).
